Inside My Ritz London Shoot Wearing the House of CB Felicity Midi Dress

There’s something undeniably uplifting about the colour yellow - especially after a long London winter. It carries this sense of warmth, optimism and softness that instantly changes your mood, and that’s exactly what drew me to the “Felicity” butter yellow satin midi dress from House of CB.

I had so much shooting this set at The Ritz in London, and this look felt like the perfect celebration of the city finally stepping into summer again. The soft yellow tone works so beautifully against the elegance of the hotel interiors, giving the whole look a timeless, romantic feel that reminds me of old Hollywood glamour with a modern edge.

What I love most about the dress is how effortlessly it moves. The bias-cut satin skims the body in the most flattering way, creating that understated 90s-inspired silhouette that never goes out of style. The delicate lace detailing adds just enough femininity without feeling overly sweet, while the satin catches the light beautifully with every movement.

As someone constantly travelling between shoots, meetings and weekends away, I always look for pieces that feel versatile yet elevated, and this dress does exactly that. It’s sophisticated enough for an event, but still feels relaxed and wearable.

For me, yellow is the colour of confidence, energy and summer escapism - and this dress captures all of that perfectly.
